Volunteers are the life-blood of FOCUS. Without our dedicated, skilled, passionate and committed volunteers, we could not support the numbers of young people we do. Nor could we have the life-changing impact on their lives that we strive for. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, or if you just want to find out more about volunteering, please contact us.
Some of the roles that volunteers take on include:
- Help staff to deliver our youth projects.
- Supervise, support and motivate young people during sessions, helping them develop their personal life skills.
- Help to plan, lead and deliver our projects, community action events, holiday programs and more.
- Mentor a young person, and support them with their personal needs and ambitions.
- Train as a Mental Health First Aider, who can help to bolster a young person’s mental health and well being.
- Bring your knowledge, skills and abilities to help improve the projects and their impact.
Other volunteering options are also open:
- Social media campaigning
- Fundraising
- Becoming a trustee
- Admin and office support
- And many more!
