MARKETING ASSISTANT
Jerusha (also called Ru) joined FOCUS as a volunteer in September 2019, editing and putting together our newsletter. In April 2021, she became part of our staff team, maintaining our social media, website and more. She brings her experience as a writer, editor and designer to help improve the ways in which we keep in touch with our supporters, partners and audience.
A published young-adult fiction author, artist and graphic designer, Ru graduated in Creative Writing at the University of Winchester. She has experience volunteering with the British Heart Foundation, as well as working with the Women’s Awards (formally the East Midlands Women’s Awards).

I believe the staff not only make sure they’re there for Leicester’s young people, but for each other, and I feel I’ve grown since I joined the team. FOCUS is such a friendly place, doing wonderful things for the city I grew up in, and I’m honoured to be a part of it.”
