Nick Thomson joined FOCUS as a trustee in 2025. He first encountered the charity’s inspiring work in 2022, selecting FOCUS as the beneficiary of his presidential year with the Rotary Club of Leicester.
Born and raised in Leicester, Nick built a successful career in civil engineering design and project management. Initially his work took him around the globe. He spent the final 28 years of his career with a national construction design and management firm in Leicester. He served as a partner for the last 13 of those years, as the business grew to some 500 people across the UK.
Now retired, Nick is eager to contribute his experience and expertise in support of the outstanding work supporting young people carried out by the FOCUS team.
