CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Matt has been with FOCUS since joining the organisation as a volunteer way back in 1995. He first joined the staff team as a part-time workshop coordinator in February 1996, before managing projects for six years. This included delivering in excess of 70 residential events and coordinating management training programmes for businesses such as Glaxo Smith Kline, BT, and Mars Pedigree.
In 2003, he was appointed as Director and has led the organisation through significant changes, whilst maintaining its core ethos and values. Despite facing challenging economic times, FOCUS has flourished and has developed an enviable reputation for its unique and powerful projects and services for young people.
In 2020, his title changed to Chief Executive. He now heads FOCUS’ Leadership Team, with specific responsibility for strategic planning, fundraising, financial management, and policy development.
