PROJECT ASSISTANT
Ethan joined the team in July 2025, after volunteering with the charity for three years. We originally met Ethan as a young person. As a volunteer Ethan supported a range of different projects, including START, Inspire, and Leicestival – as well as on our allotment. Thanks to his knowledge in digital media, he created the sub project ‘FOCUS TV’. This coexisted alongside Leicestival to capture the heritage of Leicester and its young people.
Ethan originally studied music technology and had a passion for video creation and editing. However, after being with FOCUS he found out that his calling was in youth work. He has since begun studying with the NYA to learn the necessary skills.
“FOCUS has completely changed my life! There were a good few years of my life where I didn’t think I’d ever amount to anything. Then I found FOCUS; the support they gave me was like nothing I had ever experienced. ‘They actually care’, I remember thinking to myself. I’m so proud to work for FOCUS and hope to give back as much as they gave me.”
