Amie is a proactive Finance Professional with over fifteen years of progressive Financial Management experience. She has a range of previous youth and volunteering experience. Amie has acted as a school governor, and taught karate to adults and young people. She enjoyed seeing young people that she taught grow in confidence. Amie has also played a key role in the Finance committee.
Some key experience has involved looking after children on a Diabetic residential break. Her biggest reward was to see children try activities they were originally tentative about, and watching them open up and share their experiences through facilitated discussions with children that were the same as them.
Amie says: “I am excited to be joining the FOCUS Team and contribute to their continued support of young people in Leicester. My drive is to ensure that young people are fulfilled and reach their full potential, no matter their background or circumstances, by giving them the support and opportunities they need through the great work that FOCUS does.”
