Come and be a part of HISTORY and celebrate all things youth. Join us on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd February for our first youth led LEICESTIVAL Festival!
LEICESTIVAL is a completely youth-led festival – for the youth; by the youth. Developed by the young people here at FOCUS, they aim to give young people a voice and a space to be celebrated and find new opportunities. The festival is also an opportunity to raise the awareness of Leicester’s rich festival heritage.
We often hear from young people that there are not enough opportunities for them. The young people on our Leicestival project sought to do something about it.
Running their own, entirely youth-led festival is not only a first for them, but for FOCUS as a whole! LEICESTIVAL Festival will be the place to celebrate diversity, inclusivity, acceptance, and all things youth !
LEICESTIVAL will consist of three zones:
Zen Den
A zone hosting our ‘Focus TV: Digital Time Capsule Podcast’, where you can be a part of history! Our interactive chill hub will also be hosted here.
The Performance Zone
A zone where local music, dance and performing arts youth groups come together to showcase the artistic talent of Leicester’s youth!
Activity Alley
A zone for young people to be creative, get active and have fun. Take part in activities such as arts & crafts, sports and much more!
