At the heart of the Leicester vinvolved team is a group of 16 – 25 yr olds called the Youth Action Team (YAT). These young people are ambassadors of youth volunteering. Their role is to inspire their peers to volunteer, develop youth led community action and to work alongside the vinvolved team to increase the quality and quantity of youth involvement across the voluntary, public and private sectors.
There are five subsections of the YAT:
l Marketing team l Fundraising team l Brokerage team l Youth led projects teams l Training team
The YAT help to deliver training to Volunteer involving organisations, outside the boxes sessions to groups of young people, brokerage drop-in sessions in colleges, youth clubs, hostels, etc…They can also lend out there expertise to partner organisations.
